United Way’s 2-1-1 is a free, confidential, multilingual information and referral helpline open 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.

United Way's 2-1-1 Call specialists can give you information about things such as:

  • Food assistance
  • Housing assistance and shelters
  • Abuse prevention
  • Elder care
  • Mental health services
  • Recycling regulations
  • Services for people with disabilities
  • How to become a foster parent
  • Where to get medical help and more 

  • Search for Help

    Help us spread the word about United Way’s 2-1-1.



    We are asking mayors, town supervisors, community leaders to take the pledge and promise to:


    Post information about United Way’s 2-1-1
           helpline on your website.


    Promote United Way's 2-1-1 in your
           community, emails, and social media.


    Post a video stating you took the pledge and
           challenge two other community leaders to
           take the pledge. Use #UW211.


    It only costs $99 to run the 2-1-1 call center for one hour in the entire Hudson Valley. Help make 2-1-1 24/7.
