Avery Zuvic Named a Rising Star

Join us in congratulating Avery Zuvic, whom the Business Council of Westchester has recognized as part of the 2021 class of the 40 Under 40 Rising Stars.

At the United Way, Avery manages a team of four, and one of her primary responsibilities is the United Way’s Essential Goods for Basic Needs Program. Through this program, the United Way donates essential items like food, blankets, socks, and learning supplies to economically disadvantaged families through our nonprofit partners.

 In 2020, the United Way’s Essential Goods for Basic Needs Program contributed more than $9 million in goods — almost $7.4 million of that impact occurred from July through December under Avery’s direct stewardship and leadership. She led our emergency blanket distribution effort last fall which saw more than 750 pallets of blankets, quilts, and pillows donated by Delta Airlines put back out into the community just in time for winter.
