Golden Meals Donates 500 Meals to Education United Families

Angela Rivera-Accomando, the CEO and founder of Golden Meals, donated 500 healthy meals to United Way of Westchester and Putnam, which distributed the meals to families enrolled at the Education United After-School Program at Brookside Elementary School in Ossining. Families could choose from steamed white rice, Cuban black beans, and BBQ chicken or macaroni and cheese with broccoli.
“We are so appreciative of Angela’s gift that we are using for our Education United After-School Program,” said Dahmein McFadden, United Way of Westchester and Putnam’s Director of Educational Programs. “These hardworking families are often on the go and don’t necessarily have access to freshly cooked meals. The meals are a delicious gift that saves the families time and money.”
