Morning Keynote Speaker Recap

Asha Curran, founder and CEO of Giving Tuesday is the morning keynote speaker. She serves as Chair of the Board of Guardian.org and is a Fellow at Stanford University’s Center for Philanthropy and Civil Society and a Marla and Barry Beck Visiting Social Innovator at the Social Innovation and Change Initiative at the Harvard Kennedy School. She was a Tällberg-SNF-Eliasson Global Leadership Finalist in 2021 and was named to the Nonprofit Times’ Top Fifty Power and Influence list in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.

 

She was interviewed by Tom Gabriel, President and CEO of United Way of Westchester and Putnam.

 

Afternoon Keynote Speaker Recap

Carla Harris’ 2018 TedTalk about mentorship has over 4.7 million views. She is an internationally renowned public speaker, and the author of the books Strategize to Win (2014), Expect to Win (2009), and the newly released, Lead to Win (2022). Carla is a Senior Client Advisor at Morgan Stanley and as Vice Chairman of Global Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley from 2013 to 2021.

 

She was introduced by Michelle A. Nicholas, Founder and CEO of The Nico Consulting, Inc. and Former SVP, Chief Diversity Officer and Director of Community Development, PCSB Bank.
