United Way and American Christmas Partner to Brighten Holidays for Local Families

United Way of Westchester and Putnam once again joined forces with American Christmas to bring holiday cheer to 15 local families through their annual Christmas tree giveaway. This heartwarming initiative provides fully decorated, pre-lit artificial Christmas trees to families and individuals facing financial challenges during the holiday season.
“Muchas gracias por ayudarme mi hija está muy feliz que vamos a tener un árbol (Thank you very much for helping me; my daughter is very happy that we are going to have a tree),” shared one recipient, capturing the joy this program brings to families.
The selected recipients, including senior residents and families nominated by local nonprofit organizations, received beautiful artificial Christmas trees complete with ornaments. American Christmas, known for creating spectacular holiday displays throughout New York City, continues its tradition of giving back to the community through this partnership.
“This partnership with American Christmas exemplifies the spirit of community support and holiday giving,” said Faith Butcher, Chief Impact Officer at United Way of Westchester and Putnam. “Through our partnership with American Christmas, we’re able to make the holiday season brighter for our neighbors who need it most.” This meaningful collaboration between United Way and American Christmas demonstrates how organizations and businesses can work together to create a lasting impact in our community, helping to bring light and joy to those who need it most this holiday season.
