United Way Offers Free Lyft Ride to Vaccine Appointments

United Way of Westchester and Putnam is partnering with Lyft to offer free rides to individuals needing transportation to and from vaccine appointments. The program covers up to $25 in each direction. The individual must cover any expenses beyond $25.

The program is open to Westchester and Putnam residents. Medicaid recipients are not eligible for this program. They can call their Medicaid provider to cover the cost of transportation.

Individuals can sign up to receive their unique code at uwwp.org/vaccine-rides. A person can apply the code to two trips.

Rides can only be used as transportation to and from a vaccine clinic site. Users can apply for a second code to use for transportation to and from the shot.
