United Way Launches Financial Empowerment Toolkit—ALICE $ense
United Way of Westchester and Putnam (UWWP) has launched its free-to-use, ALICE $ense toolkit featuring interactive, financial tools and resources. This kit is available online to qualifying Westchester and Putnam County residents and is intended to help users build smarter financial habits.
“Dealing with personal and household finances is stressful for many,” explained Tom Gabriel, President and CEO of United Way of Westchester and Putnam. “We are excited to offer our toolkit, ALICE $ense, as a resource to empower our community members to tackle their everyday financial responsibilities.”
In Westchester and Putnam counties, 40% of households are living paycheck-to-paycheck or in poverty. They are considered the ALICE population. The ALICE $ense toolkit is part of United Way’s initiative to help residents achieve more stable financial ground for themselves and their families. ALICE $ense users will gain access to supportive financial tools and resources such as Best Money Moves, SingleCare, Upromise, My Free Taxes, and Savi.
